Choral Workshop 2026 — Brahms Requiem solo opportunities
Participants interested in performing as a soloist in this year’s reading of the Brahms Requiem should submit an audition video with piano accompaniment containing one of the following excerpts…
Third movement baritone solo — beginning through “…mein Leben is wie nichts vor dir.”
Fifth movement soprano solo — beginning through “…Niemand von euch nehmen.”
Sixth movement baritone solo — soloist entrance through “…zu der Zeit der letzten Posaune.”

Voice lessons and masterclasses
Ogontz Choral Workshop participants are encouraged to bring in their own solo vocal pieces to work on with our outstanding vocal instructors through private voice lessons and voice masterclasses offered throughout the week. Please note that space is limited, and spots often fill up quickly!
Participants who are working on their own solo vocal piece will have the opportunity to perform their piece at an informal participant concert at the end of the week with our wonderful collaborative pianists.
Conducting workshops
Participants also have the opportunity to conduct an excerpt of their choosing from the week’s repertoire and receive feedback from Maestro David Hill. Again, space is limited, and spots often fill up quickly!
