The Auction

This year’s workshop will feature a Live Auction in support of  Ogontz Arts Foundation. Proceeds help the Foundation offer discounted workshop tuition to college students. We’re thrilled to have seven of them with us this year!

We have eliminated the Silent Auction in favor of the Live Auction with fewer but more desirable items.

We’ve collected several popular items from past auctions for this year including a private voice lesson during camp with our amazing Paula Rockwell and other items pictured here. Rich Roy, a veteran of the Ogontz tenor section as well as an accomplished carpenter, will be creating a “unique and fun” auction item in the Ogontz wood shop.

We would like to add several more fabulous items to the list and hope that some of you might have a vacation home you could share for a weekend or tickets to a Broadway show, fabulous concert or other event that Ogontz singers would love to bid on. Please consider donating an item valued at $100 or more to add to the event. If you have an idea for an item but would like to check with us, please call Meg Roy at 860-918-6299.

Escape to County Clare for a Week in this Perfect Irish Cottage!

Irish Cottage

Ogontz veterans will recognize this wonderful opportunity to spend an unforgettable week in the beautiful town of Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Ireland. Many of us have spent a magical week in this cozy cottage on Galway Bay, but if you haven’t yet had the chance, the cottage will be a featured offering of this year’s Live Auction. This cottage has two bedrooms, sleeps four comfortably (six, more cozily) and has all the comforts of home. There are beautiful views from every window and Galway Bay is just steps from the cottage across the street. The cottage is perfectly situated near great sight-seeing such as the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, a mystical geological formation covering much of the area, the city of Galway, great hiking, Celtic musical venues and much more. Start planning your trip to Ireland by bidding on this great item.
